  • I’m located in San Rafael, California (in the beautiful Bay Area) and see clients throughout California.

  • Just like in person therapy, except we can meet from the comfort of your home. If you have a private place to meet, a device with access to audio and video, as well as an internet connection, we can conveniently bring effective therapy (including EMDR) to you.

  • The majority of my work is virtual, but there are opportunities for “walk and talk” sessions for local clients.

    • Begin with an 80-minute intake session for $305, this is an initial session, where baseline assessments and goal setting are conducted.

    • Subsequent 50-minute sessions are available for $225.

    • Enjoy a 15% discount for first responders, active duty, US Veterans (with Veteran ID), and public service workers.

    • Payment is due at the time of service (prior arrangements accepted).

While I am not in network with insurance and do not bill insurance companies directly, many insurance plans offer out of network benefits and may reimburse you a significant portion of the session fee for traditional 50 minute sessions. You can check your out of network benefits either by calling your insurance company or checking via your online member portal. Most insurance plans allow me to to electronically submit your superbill on your behalf, saving you the headache of having to navigate submitting these on your own.

Therapy is an investment of time, energy and money. I do quite a bit of work outside of our session time including reading, specialty training, consulting and preparing for our time together so you get the most out of your therapy hour. Structuring my practice as an out of network provider allows me to avoid overloading my schedule so I can be fully present with you during the valuable time you set aside for this work.

Cancellation Policy: Appointment changes and cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment time will be billed at the full rate.

Convenient payment options include cash, Venmo, and PayPal.

  • EMDR intensives offer a fast-tracked approach to the powerful healing potential of EMDR therapy. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven therapeutic method that addresses the underlying issues keeping you stuck.

Without the limitations of the typical 50-minute session, we can explore deeper. Opting for an EMDR intensive allows you to accomplish weeks or even months of therapy in just 1 to 3 days, so you can return to your daily life while carrying forward the progress you've made.

  • Yes. EMDR therapy can be used alongside your ongoing talk therapy sessions with a different therapist. This approach combines the strengths of both therapies to enhance your healing journey. While traditional talk therapy focuses on exploring and discussing your thoughts and feelings, EMDR specifically targets traumatic memories. By integrating these two modalities, you can address deeper issues more effectively and facilitate quicker healing. Using EMDR as an adjunct to talk therapy allows you to process trauma while still benefiting from the support and insights of both therapists. This collaborative approach can lead to improved overall therapeutic outcomes and help you move forward in your healing journey.  It is usually time limited.
